Kim Dan
At 29, Kim Dan is a hardworking former physical therapist who lost his job after a traumatic incident. Struggling with debt and his grandmother’s medical bills, he takes any job he can find. He soon becomes the personal therapist for MMA star Joo Jaekyung — unaware of the fighter’s infamous temper that scared off others. Though professional, Dan quietly battles his own hardships.
Joo Jaekyung
By 26, Joo Jaekyung is an undefeated MMA champion, feared and respected for his brutal dominance. Known for his tyrannical nature, he confides in Dan about a strange “jinx” — he loses matches if he doesn’t sleep with someone beforehand. Seeing Dan as the key to his continued success, Jaekyung pushes him to become his official therapist. Though aggressive and blunt, Jaekyung gradually warms up, growing closer to Dan and becoming more open with others at his gym.
Park Namwook
At 38, Namwook is Jaekyung’s manager and the coach of Team Black. He introduces Dan as Jaekyung’s new physical therapist, advising him to avoid irritating the fighter. Hwang Yoon-gu
At 20, Yoongu is the youngest on Team Black and dislikes being called “Potato.” Though hot-headed at times—like when reacting to Randy’s insults—he deeply admires Jaekyung and wants to prove himself. He’s curious about Dan’s closeness to Jaekyung but holds no grudge. When Dan arranges a sparring match for him, Yoongu is thrilled and genuinely grateful.
Randy Booker
Randy Booker, known as “The Butcher,” is Jaekyung’s opponent in the Light Heavyweight Bout at MFC 272. Meeting for the first time at weigh-in, Randy spits in Jaekyung’s face and taunts him, daring him to strike and questioning if he’s afraid.
Choi Heesung
Heesung, an actor the same age as Jaekyung, works under the same agency. While prepping for an action role, he trains in kickboxing with Jaekyung and films it for his vlog. Friendly and image-conscious, he snaps a selfie before leaving. Instantly drawn to Dan’s looks, Heesung begins pursuing him—much to Jaekyung’s irritation.
