Born into a family of models, Cane Lele's parents were once admired figures in the fashion industry. However, their lives were cut short due to a tragic plane crash, leaving Lele to be raised by her grandmother. Growing up surrounded by the superficial nature of the industry, Lele develops a strong aversion towards it. Despite her reluctance, Lele's aunt, Ye Feihung, a former model turned fashion agent, convinces her to give modeling a try. It isn't until Lele witnesses the artistry involved in a photo shoot by American model Angus Lanson that she begins to see the appeal. While attending a meeting with top fashion ambassadors, Lele is excited to finally meet the model who inspired her. Unbeknownst to her, Angus' twin brother, Eros Lanson, is secretly accompanying him, leading to a charming and confusing beginning to Lele's pursuit of her goals - to make it big in the competitive New York City fashion scene and, perhaps, to find love.
