Summary
Shuuichirou Kudou discovers a winged creature ensnared in a tree branch while walking home from work. The creature, Kohaku, claims to be an angel from the heavens. However, Shuuichirou remains doubtful of the supernatural and dismisses the encounter as a figment of his imagination, much to Kohaku's disappointment. The next day, Kohaku appears in their true form in Shuuichirou's yard to express gratitude for their freedom. Kohaku offers to grant Shuuichirou a wish, but he declines, insisting that he is content with his life. In lieu of a wish, Kohaku pledges their inherent benevolence to assist Shuuichirou if required. As Kohaku adjusts to living with Shuuichirou, they face frequent disturbances from Kouryuu, a cunning devil, and their accompaniments. Additionally, Kohaku must urgently locate the absent archangel Hisui to evade permanent banishment from Heaven.
