Summary
Mika leads an unremarkable life and lacks direction for her future until she witnesses Kaede, a classmate, engrossed in a game of pool at a nearby billiards lounge. Kaede possesses a mysterious persona that rises to the surface while playing the game. Seeing how much joy billiards brings him, Mika grows increasingly curious and is gradually seduced by the game. The novel also includes additional short stories such as "Platinum" in volume one, "Ichigo Namida" (Strawberry Tears) in volume two, and "Wakasama no Jijou" (The Youth's Circumstance) in volume two.
