Summary
Asta, a boisterous orphan with no magical abilities, yearns to become the Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom, a title reserved for the most powerful mage. His childhood friend and rival, Yuno, possesses the coveted wind magic and shares Asta's ambition. Despite the stark contrast in their abilities, Asta tirelessly trains, hoping to awaken his latent magical powers and keep pace with Yuno. When a person comes of age at 15 in the Clover Kingdom, they receive a Grimoire that unlocks their magic's full potential. At the ceremony, Yuno is gifted with a rare, four-leaf clover Grimoire symbolizing his strength, while Asta watches in vain for his own. Disheartened but unwavering, Asta witnesses Yuno's Grimoire being stolen by a powerful mage. Despite being outmatched, Asta's unrelenting spirit grants him a Grimoire of his own, an unprecedented black five-leaf clover.
