Summary

After a lifetime of labor, Kenzou Okada, a man of 60 years, loses his job and is left in dire straits when his spouse and offspring desert him. Despite a failed suicide bid, he ultimately decides to embark on a new beginning by residing in the forest, which prevents his demise.
